Kirkwood freshman Amber Logemann pitched a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts Friday as the Eagles blanked NIACC, 9-0, in the first game of a conference doubleheader at Kirkwood.

Sam Belz tossed a seven-hit shutout in the second game as the Eagles completed a sweep of the makeup doubleheader with a 6-0 triumph.

The seventh-ranked Eagles raised their records to 24-3 overall and 10-0 in the ICCAC.

Logemann has a 9-3 record with a 0.81 ERA. Belz has a 9-0 mark with a 0.87 ERA.

Krysta Tutsch hit her sixth home run and drove in three runs in the first game. Haylee Krack and Lauren Smith had two hits apiece. Leah Duffe scored two runs.

Kristen Winter belted her sixth homer, went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs in the nightcap. Kayla Tatge was 3-for-4, Duffe went 2-for-5 and Tutsch drove in two more runs.

Kirkwood is scheduled to host Iowa Lakes in another makeup doubleheader Sunday at 1 p.m.
