Nick Jones went 4-for-6 and drove in six runs Sunday as the Kirkwood Eagles split an ICCAC doubleheader with Southwestern Community College at the Kirkwood field.

Southwestern rallied for an 11-6 victory in the first game after Kirkwood had grabbed a 6-2 lead after four innings.

The Eagles romped in the nightcap, 10-1.

Dairo Gonzalez went 3-for-4 in the twinbill with three RBIs for Kirkwood.

The split left Kirkwood at 28-14 overall and 11-11 in the ICCAC. Southwestern is 12-26 overall and 6-19 in the league.

The same two teams will meet in a doubleheader Monday at 1 p.m. at Kirkwood to finish the regular season.

The Region XI tournament is scheduled to begin Thursday in Waterloo.
