ANAMOSA - The Cedar Rapids Jefferson girls cross country team placed fifth out of 10 teams at the Anamosa Invitational Saturday.

Megan Ely paced the J-Hawks by finishing 12th in 17 minutes, 19 seconds for the 4 kilometer course.

The Jefferson boys finished seventh out of 11 teams in their race. Jason Chung led the J-Hawks by finishing 19th in 18:56 for five kilometers.

Davenport Assumption won the girls title and Monticello captured the boys title.
