DECORAH - Freshman Mickey Hansche hit a school record eight 3-pointers as Coe beat Luther, 76-72, in overtime Wednesday night. It was the 14th-straight win over the Norse for the Kohawk women.

Megan Hayes added 19 points and Hannah Breitbach had 12 for Coe (13-9, 8-3 Iowa Conference).

Allie Wirth tied her career high with 11 rebounds and she also had eight of Coe's 27 assists. Brooke Wheelwright had seven assists in 14 minutes.

Hansche's final 3-pointer broke a 68-68 tie 44 seconds into overtime and put the Kohawks ahead to stay.

Luther cut the lead to 73-72 on a pair of free throws by Haley Kirkpatrick with 1:22 left, but Lindsey Buckles' jumper with 55 seconds left stretched the margin to 75-72. Hayes added a free throw with 33 seconds left.

Coe made one fewer field goal and one fewer free throw than Luther. But the Kohawks knocked down 12 of 24 treys, while Luther was 5 of 18 from beyonfd the arc.

Hansche's eight treys broke the record of seven set by Sarah Anciaux against Loras on Jan. 19, 2011.

Breitbach had four treys.

The win was Coe's seventh in its last eight games. The Kohawks are in third place in the Iowa Conference. They play at second-place Simpson (14-8, 9-2) Saturday afternoon at 2.

Taylor Johnson had 18 points to lead Luther (11-11, 2-9).
