No. 8 Lions keep Prairie winless

Linn-Mar bounced back from its first loss of the season, behind 13 points from senior Olivia Montague, to down Prairie 60-35, in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls basketball game Friday night at Prairie.

The Lions, ranked No. 8 in Class 5A, rolled to a 29-20 halftime lead and were never headed. Lannie Nietert added 12 points for Linn-Mar (6-1).

Makenzie Stoffer led the Hawks (0-8) with 11 points.
