Wilson leads Cedar Valley girls to win

SPRINGVILLE – The Cedar Valley Christian girls basketball team ralled from a three-point halftime deficit to beat Prince of Peace, 51-39, in a Tri-Rivers Conference game Tuesday.

The Huskies trailed 21-18 at halftime, but roared back in the second half and improved to 4-7.

Candace Wilson scored 16 points with nine rebounds and five assists to lead Cedar Valley Christian. Maggie Cach added 14 points and Megan Slagle scored 11 points with three 3-pointers.

Rebecca Divarco scored 16 points for Prince of Peace (0-13).

PRINCE OF PEACE (39): Posey 2 0-0 4, Corpuz 1 0-0 3, Schnier 4 0-0 8, Atkinson 2 4-5 8, A.Eshelman 0 0-0 0, Hovey 0 0-0 0, Divarco 6 4-7 16, B.Eshelman 0 0-0 0. Totals 15 8-12 39.
