Huskies win a set but lose 5 matches

CLINTON - Cedar Valley Christian won a set but lost all five of its matches Saturday at the Prince of Peace Invitational volleyball tournament.

Cedar Valley finished 0-5. The Huskies were beaten by Morningstar Academy, 21-5, 14-21, 6-15. They lost in straight sets to Anamosa (12-21, 18-21), Unity Christian, Ill., (18-21, 14-21), Preston (14-21, 13-21) and Prince of Pace (11-21, 18-21).

Cedar Valley Christian's Jessie Walsh was named to the all-tournament team. She had seven aces overall and eight digs against Prince of Peace.

The Huskies' Lindsey Cach had 13 kills overall. Taylor Fields had seven digs against Anamosa and five against Prince of Peace.
