No. 2 Eagles dump Ellsworth by 20

The second-ranked Kirkwood Eagles won their ninth straight game Thursday night with a 66-46 verdict over Ellsworth in an ICCAC  conference game at Johnson Hall.

irkwood raised its records to 19-2 overall and 7-0 in the league.  Ellsworth fell to 5-17 overall and 0-7 in the conference.

Luke Appel led the Eagles with 14 points. Allante Pickens made three  3-pointers and scored 12 points. Seybian Sims grabbed 10 rebounds.

Doug Wilson, who missed Kirkwood's previous game with a minor hip injury, contributed eight rebounds and four assists.

LJ Harris poured in 22 points for Ellsworth.

ELLSWORTH (46): Heard 1 1-6 3, Harris 8 5-10 22, Taylor 0 0-0 0, Brown  1 0-0 2, Rewoldt 1 0-2 2, Williams 2 3-6 7, Urness 1 0-0 2, Johnson 3  0-0 8. Totals 17 9-24 46.
