Schuhkraft fires 70 for Mustangs

PRIMM, Nev. - Thomas Schuhkraft of Mount Mercy fired an even-par 70  Monday to lead the Mustangs at the Battle of Primm golf tournament in  Nevada.

Schuhkraft is tied for 16th place heading into the final round  Tuesday, four shots behind the co-leaders at 66.

The Mount Mercy men's golf team is tied for 10th place in the 20-team  tournament at 10-over 290. Oklahoma City scorched the links Monday and  is sitting at 8-under par after 18 holes.

The Mount Mercy women's golf team is in 11th place out of 14 teams at  the Battle of Primm. Casey Noble shot an 11-over 83 for the Mustangs  and is tied for 38th heading into the final round.

MOUNT MERCY MEN: Thomas Schuhkraft 70, William Bruyeres 72, Philip  Nelson 74, Nile Happel 74, Kaleb Hagge 77.

MOUNT MERCY WOMEN: Casey Noble 83, Cheyenne Broquard 88, Allyson Wertz  90, Kayla Stammer 91, Natalea Cook 92.
