ST. LOUIS - The Kirkwood baseball team swept a doubleheader from St. Louis-Meramec Thursday afternoon, 5-0 and 4-3, with good pitching and timely hitting.

Collin Belk and Michael Amador combined on a five-hit shutout in the opener. Belk (2-0) pitched the first five innings and allowed four singles.

Wilfredo Feliz, Roly Hernandez, Angel Merced and Eric Schenck-Joblinske had two hits apiece for the Eagles (4-0) in the first game.

Kirkwood rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh inning to win the nightcap. Feliz led off the seventh with a double, went to third on a sacrifice bunt and tied the game, 3-3, on an RBI double by Dairo Gonzalez.

Hernandez drove in Gonzalez with a two-out single to make it 4-3.

Cale Henke got the victory in relief. Jake Triulzi pitched a scoreless frame in the bottom of the seventh inning for the save.

Feliz and Joblinske had two more hits in the second game. Hernandez drove in two runs.
