FORT DODGE - The Kirkwood baseball team, struggling to score runs, dropped its second straight doubleheader to Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge Sunday.

The Eagles scored only three runs in four games all weekend and were shut out twice.

Iowa Central swept Sunday's doubleheader, 2-1 and 3-0.

Iowa Central swept Saturday's twinbill, 4-0 and  3-2, as the Eagles wasted good pitching of their own.

The four setbacks dropped Kirkwood to 19-11 overall and 7-9 in the ICCAC. Iowa Central raised its marks to 25-10 and 10-6.

Greg Brodzinski, Kirkwood's starting catcher and one of its best hitters, missed all four games with a hand injury. He is expected back this week.

The Eagles are scheduled to host Dakota Tech in a doubleheader Tuesday at 2 p.m. The games were switched from Dakota Tech to Kirkwood due to snow in Minnesota.
