The Kirkwood Eagles snapped a six-game losing streak Tuesday by sweeping a doubleheader from Dakota Tech, 2-1 and 7-2, at the Kirkwood baseball field.

The Eagles (21-11) won the first game in the bottom of the eighth inning when Jean Carlos Rodriguez drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs to drive in Alex Thompson.

Kirkwood tied the opener, 1-1, in the bottom of the seventh on a pinch-hit double by Dennis Colon.

Dairo Gonzalez went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs for the Eagles in the second game. Nick Jones went 3-for-3 and collected two doubles.

Jake Triulzi pitched the eighth inning in the opener and got the victory. Alexis Bauzo got the victory in the nightcap.

Kirkwood is scheduled to play a doubleheader at Muscatine Wednesday.
