Kirkwood softball coach Joe Yegge and his assistants have been named the Midwest Coaching Staff of the Year by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

The Kirkwood assistant coaches are Kylee Knop, Allie Galvin and Carlie Schnoebelen.

The Eagles reached the semifinals of the NJCAA Division II national tournament and finished with a 57-5 record.
