DUBUQUE - Madison Ranschau of Cedar Rapids Jefferson won the 55 meter hurdles at the University of Dubuque Girls High School Indoor Classic Friday.

Ranschau was clocked in 8.39 seconds. Her sister, Abilene Ranschau, placed second in the same event in 8.76 seconds and Sam Kitterman of Jefferson was fourth (9.26).

Jefferson placed third in the 4x200 relay (1:49.03) and third in the 4x400 relay (4:09.94).

Amber Decker of Linn-Mar finished second in the 800 meter run (2:27.42). Japenga Kennedy of Linn-Mar placed third in the 400 (1:05.15).

Morgan Garcia finished fourth in the 800 for the Lions (2:31.80), Caitlin Novak was fifth in the 800 (2:37.61) and Ally Hicks was fifth in the 1500 (5:24.88).

Linn-Mar placed third in the 4x800 relay (10:03.47) and fifth in the 4x400 relay (4:21.73).

Davenport Assumption won the meet with 93 points. Linn-Mar placed fourth and Jefferson was sixth out of 16 teams. The Lions and J-Hawks did not enter full teams in the meet.
