Schebler belts 3 homers for Lookouts

Cedar Rapids Prairie grad Scott Schebler had another night to remember with the Chattanooga Lookouts in the Southern League Tuesday.

Schebler socked three home runs as the Lookouts blanked Jacksonville, 4-0, for their 10th straight victory.

Schebler now leads the Class AA Southern League with 24 homers. He is batting .282 with 65 RBIs. He also has 20 doubles, 12 triples and 10 stolen bases.

Schebler hit a two-run homer in the first inning, added a solo shot in the third inning and had an inside-the-park homer in the fifth. He drew an intentional walk in the seventh.

"It's something pretty nice, it's something pretty special," Schebler told MiLB.com about his three-homer game. "This league is pretty tough, so you take home runs whenever you can get them. I happened to put a good day together, so I'm pretty happy."

Schebler had another big night earlier in the season when he hit for the cycle against Mobile June 1.

Schebler is a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and was named their Minor League Player of the Year in 2013.
