Cedar Rapids Prairie junior Jalen Rima is the winner of the Metro Spotlight Award for high school boys this week, the Metro Sports Report announced Sunday.

Rima is one of the top sprinters in Iowa for the Prairie track team. He leads the state in the 400 at 48.78 seconds and is tied for fourth in the 200 at 22.26.

Rima submitted both of those times Friday while winning the events at the Wilkinson Relays at Kingston Stadium.

Rima competes in four sports at Prairie in football, basketball, track and baseball. He placed sixth in the 400 at the Class 4A state meet last year.
