DUBUQUE - The tough times continued for the Xavier baseball team in Dubuque Tuesday.

The Saints dropped a Mississippi Valley Conference doubleheader to Dubuque Senior, 7-1 and 6-5 in eight innings.

Nick Stark had two hits for Xavier in the first game. Nolan Arp had two hits in the nightcap.

The Saints rallied from a 5-1 deficit in the second game by scoring four runs in the top of the seventh to force extra innings, but the Rams tallied in the bottom of the eighth to win it.

The losses dropped Xavier to 7-14 overall and 4-10 in the conference. Dubuque Senior raised its marks to 14-7 overall and 7-5 in the league.
