The fifth-ranked Jefferson softball team split its two games in the Jefferson Classic Friday.

The J-Hawks trimmed Davenport West, 5-4, in nine innings in their first game. They lost to Benton Community, 4-2, in the second game.

Maddie Hansen and Liv Erickson belted home runs in the victory over Davenport West.

The split left Jefferson with a 21-6 record.
