Bohannon hits 40 with nine 3's

PDF

Jordan Bohannon poured in 40 points for the second time this season as the Linn-Mar Lions spanked Ankeny Centennial, 77-52, in a non-conference game at Linn-Mar Saturday evening.

And for the second time this season, he spiced his 40-point outburst with nine 3-pointers.

Bohannon also made nine 3-pointers and scored 40 points in a victory over Cedar Rapids Prairie on Dec. 18. The nine 3-pointers are the second most in Metro history and now Bohannon has done it twice.

Adam Spanich made ten 3-pointers for Regis in 1994.

Beau Klostermann tossed in 16 points for Linn-Mar, which raised its record to 14-5 with its fifth straight victory. The Lions made sixteen 3-pointers, tying the school record.

Ankeny Centennial, which is led by former Kennedy coach Bob Fontana, fell to 11-8.
