Cedar Valley Christian made school history Thursday night by playing its first volleyball matches as members of the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

The Huskies got blanked in their first match against BGM, 25-16, 25-20, 25-19, then gave Waterloo Christian a spirited battle before falling 25-17, 15-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Jessie Walsh had two kills, four digs and four aces for CVC against BGM. She had three more kills, three digs and 10 aces against Waterloo Christian.

Lindsey Cach had nine kills and an ace against Waterloo, Maria Sequeira had seven assists and four aces, and Izzy Hoffman collected four kills and two aces.

The games were played at Cedar Valley Christian.
