SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Charles Hartwig and Niall Powell of Kirkwood fired  rounds of 1-under-par 71 Friday to help the Eagles grab an eight shot lead after the first round of the Blue Boy Invitational at The Rail  Golf Course in Springfield, Ill.

Hartwig and Powell own a one-shot lead heading into the final round Saturday.The Eagles finished the day with a four-man score of 293. Lewis &  Clark is second at 301.

Jordan Even shot a 1-over 73 for Kirkwood.
