AMES - The Kirkwood Eagles captured top honors at the Region XI Fall Preview Monday at Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames.

Ryan Morrison of Kirkwood tied for the individual title and the Eagles won the team championship by 21 shots.

Morrison fired rounds of 71 and 73 for an even-par total of 144 for the 36 holes, tying Louis Psihoyos of DMACC for medalist honors.

Kirkwood tore up the course Sunday with a four-man score of 1-under 287. The Eagles followed at 304 Monday to finish at 591 for the tournament, 21 shots ahead of DMACC.

James Morgan of Kirkwood finished third at 2-over 146. Ben Epperly and Dawson Peters of Kirkwood tied for sixth at 7-over 151. George Kalpakas of Kirkwood tied for ninth at 9-over 153, putting all five Eagles in the top-10 in the individual standings.
