CHICAGO - Maddie Bell rolled up 19 kills Friday as the Mount Mercy women's volleyball team trimmed Trinity Christian in five sets at a tournament in Chicago.

The Mustangs rallied to top Trinity, 25-23, 22-25, 23-25, 25-21, 18-16, in their second match of the day.

Mount Mercy lost to Kokomo, 25-19, 25-15, 25-15, in its first contest.

Mackenzie Murphy collected 15 kills and Alyssa Weldon had 14 in the five-set thriller against Trinity. Kayla Daggett kept busy with 57 assists. Gabi Delsing rolled up 47 digs, Haley Stecklein 16 and Weldon 15. Abbi Tunis blocked five shots.

Weldon led the Mustangs with nine kills and 11 digs against Kokomo. Daggett had 24 assists.

Mount Mercy (6-1) has two more matches in the tournament Saturday.
