Cedar Rapids Xavier senior Kevin Hosch has accepted an opportunity to join the University of Northern Iowa football program as a preferred walk-on next season.

Hosch, 6-4, 210, played defensive end and tight end for the Saints (5-5), who reached the first round of the Class 4A playoffs last season. He was named first team all-Metro and first team all-Mississippi Valley Conference on defense.

Hosch made 32 tackles, including three tackles for loss, and caught 12 passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns.
