Kennedy lost a pair of tough soccer matches to ranked foes Saturday at Kennedy.

No. 2 Iowa City West beat the 12th-ranked Cougars, 2-0, Saturday morning. West scored both of its goals in the first half.

Third-ranked City High toppled Kennedy, 2-1, in overtime in the noon match. City High scored in the 76th minute to take a 1-0 lead. J.D. Ruzicka's goal in the 77th minute for Kennedy tied the game. The Little Hawks won the game with a goal in the second minute of overtime.

Kennedy fell to 6-5 overall and 5-4 in the MVC.
