PELLA — Mitch Pritts and Trevor Northrup won races for Cedar Rapids Prairie at the Central College indoor track meet Friday in Pella.
Pritts claimed the 1600 in 4 minutes, 35.7 seconds. Northrup won the 60 meter dash in 6.45 seconds.
Ty Bolden placed second for Prairie in the 400 (54.27), and Tysen Van Draska was third in the 1600 (4:37.39).

Kennedy senior A.J. Carter has been named the Athlete of the Year on the 2014 All-Metro Boys Basketball Team, as selected by the Metro coaches.
Jon McKowen of Kennedy was named the Metro Coach of the Year in his first season with the Cougars.
Jacob Olson of Jefferson, Adam McDermott of Xavier, Jordan Bohannon of Linn-Mar, Michael Mims of Prairie, Jared Printy of Washington and Nic Uhlir of Linn-Mar joined Carter on the first team.

AMES - Kenzie Soeken of Cedar Rapids Prairie and Halley Morgan of Linn-Mar placed second at the Iowa State indoor girls track meet Monday in Ames.
Soeken tied for second in the high jump at 5 feet, 2 inches. Morgan finished second in the 60-meter dash in 7.86 seconds.
Linn-Mar placed second in the 4x400 relay (4:13.59) and the 800 sprintmedley (1:55.85).
Prairie finished fourth in the 4x100 relay (53.12).
Molly Breitbach of Xavier placed fifth in the 60 in 8.27 seconds. The Saints finished fifth in the 4x100 relay (53.24).
Last Updated on Tuesday, 18 March 2014 09:30CEDAR FALLS - Famiek Cook of Cedar Rapids Kennedy captured the 200 meter dash and long jump at the Mississippi Valley Conference indoor track meet at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls Monday.
Cook took the 200 in 23.21 seconds and claimed the long jump at 21 feet, 3 inches.
Shawn Beyer of Kennedy won the high jump at 6 feet, 2 inches. The Cougars also claimed the shuttle hurdle relay (34.36 seconds) and captured the 4x400 relay (3:36.13).
Cedar Rapids Prairie senior Mitch Pritts is the winner of the Metro Spotlight Award for high school boys this week, the Metro Sports Report announced Sunday.
Pritts has established himself as one of the top distance runners in Iowa. He helped Prairie capture the Class 4A state cross country title last fall in Fort Dodge and placed in three events at the Class 4A state track meet last May.
Pritts began the 2014 season by winning the 3200 in 9:44.59 at the Dickinson Relays in Cedar Falls on Tuesday.
