Woolfolk, Clark pace No.14 Kirkwood

Danielle Woolfolk scored 21 points and Cassidy Clark collected a double-double Wednesday night as Kirkwood defeated Iowa Western, 77-67, in a junior college women's basketball game at Johnson Hall.

Clark finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kirsten Larson tossed in 11 points for the Eagles.

Kirkwood, ranked No.14 in NJCAA Division II, raised its record to 21-6. Iowa Western, ranked No.25 in NJCAA Division I, fell to 22-6.

Clark paces No.15 Eagles by Iowa Lakes

Cassidy Clark scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Saturday as 15th-ranked Kirkwood dunked Iowa Lakes, 71-37, in a junior college basketball game at Johnson Hall.

Clark scored 18 of her 20 points in the first half as Kirkwood took a 36-16 lead.

Dani Woolfolk contributed 11 points for the Eagles (20-6, 9-4). Ariel Sneed had 10 points.

Kirkwood hosting Play 4Kay Game

The Kirkwood women's basketball team will host a Play 4Kay Game this Saturday against Iowa Lakes as part of a national effort to raise money to fight breast cancer.

Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Johnson Hall.

The Kirkwood Play 4Kay Game is being held in conjunction with the national Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Half of the gate receipts will be donated to the cause and a raffle will be held as well.

Woolfolk paces KCC at Marshalltown

MARSHALLTOWN - Danielle Woolfolk hit three 3-pointers and scored 21 points Wednesday night as the Kirkwood Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak and defeated Marshalltown, 71-60, in a conference game in Marshalltown.

Tyra Polite also hit three triples and scored 14 points for the Eagles (19-6, 8-4). Ariel Sneed contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds. Cassidy Clark scored 12 points.

Kirkwood dropped from No.7 to No.15 in the NJCAA Division II rankings this week.

Jamerka Martin scored 14 points for Marshalltown (16-8, 7-5).
