A tough season got a little tougher for the Cedar Rapids Prairie boys basketball team Tuesday night.

The Hawks made only 13 field goals and lost to Cedar Falls, 54-42, in a Mississippi Valley Conference game at Prairie.

Kentrel Smith led Prairie with 12 points. Jace Hanna scored 11.

The Hawks fell to 3-7 overall and 2-4 in the MVC. Cedar Falls improved to 7-2 overall and 5-2 in the league.
