PLEASANT HILL - Michael Mims scored 12 points for Prairie but a slow start by the Hawks resulted in a 62-51 loss to Southeast Polk in a nonconference boys basketball game Saturday night.
Demetrius Harper, Jace Hanna and Thomas Eilers added nine points apiece for Prairie (4-9).
Southeast Polk built a 28-14 halftime lead. Prairie puled within 40-34 by the end of the third quarter.
Tucker Kamman scored a game-high 17 points for Southeast Polk. Nick Arnold added 11 points and six rebounds.
