Cedar Rapids Prairie and Linn-Mar will host meets in the Class 3A regional dual team wrestling tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

The top 16 teams in the state were selected for the regional meet, based on rankings by the Iowa Wrestling Coaches Association.

The eight regional winners will advance to the state dual team tournament at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

The second-ranked Prairie Hawks will host No.15 West Des Moines Valley in the regional meet. The Linn-Mar Lions, who are tied for No.4 in the rankings, will host No.12 Clinton.

Both meets will begin at 7 p.m.

The state dual meet tournament will be held a day before the traditional state tournament begins a three-day run in Des Moines from Feb. 14-16. Last year, many teams rested their top wrestlers at the state dual meet tournament and replaced them with junior varsity wrestlers.
