Kelly Phelan announced Thursday that she has resigned her post as volleyball coach at Jefferson.

The announcement came in a press release from Athletics Director Chris Deam.

Phelan cited family reasons for her decision to resign.

Phelan has been the volleyball coach at Jefferson for 12 years.

She will continue as a teacher in the physical education department.

Deam said a search for Phelan's replacement will begin immediately.
