AMES - Xavier High School senior Nick Steingreaber captured the 60 meter dash at the 2013 Iowa State High School Boys Classic indoor track meet Tuesday night in 7.02 seconds.

Steingreaber nipped Brandon Norman of Iowa Falls-Alden by five-hundredths of a second in the 60.

Steingreaber also helped the Saints win the 4x100 relay in 44.81 seconds for a tight victory over Des Moines East, which placed second in 44.92. Miles Sullivan, Nick Stark and Trey Sampson ran the first three legs on the winning relay for Xavier.

Linn-Mar junior Josh Evans finished fifth in the 3200 meter run in 9:36.14. Daniel Gardarrsson of Iowa City West won the race in 9:30.67.

Linn-Mar placed second in the sprint medley and finished eighth in the 4x800 relay.
