Josh Oglesby’s 27 carry Warriors to win

Josh Oglesby scored 27 points to lead Class 4A No. 10 Washington past Dubuque Wahlert, 65-56, Tuesday night (Dec. 14) in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys’ basketball game at Washington.

Oglesby made four 3-pointers and 7 of 8 free throws. He also grabbed nine rebounds. Wes Washpun added 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

Washington (3-1, 2-0 MVC) hosts No. 3 Jefferson on Friday night in a girl/boy doubleheader starting at 6.

Washington won the sophomore game, 49-25.

WAHLERT (56): Aaron Schueller 5 6-7 17, Jonathan Moore 0 0-0 0, Jacob May 5 2-2 13, Nathan Burks 2 0-0 4, Ryan Ernst 2 4-4 9, Riley DeSanti 0 0-0 0, Michael Francis 6 1-4 13. Totals 20 13-17 56.
