IOWA CITY - The Kennedy girls tennis team lost a pair of meets Saturday in Iowa City.

The Cougars were beaten by Iowa City West, 6-3, and by Iowa City High, 8-1.

Jessica Pedersen won twice against West. She won her No.1 singles match, 10-6, and teamed with Sarah Lasecki to win at No.1 doubles, 10-8.

Kennedy's doubles team of Hanna Krivit and Clara Gilbert also won against West.

Lasecki posted a win at No.2 singles for the Cougars' sole victory against City High.
