Marcus Paige visited the University of North Carolina this past weekend and came home with a nice souvenir.

North Carolina Coach Roy Williams offered him a scholarship.

Paige, a 6-foot-1 junior point guard at Linn-Mar, is being recruited by some of the top college basketball programs in the country and now has offers from the Tar Heels, Kansas, Iowa, Iowa State and many others.

Paige plans to whittle his list to five or six schools once the high school basketball season is over and take his official visits. His visit to North Carolina was an unofficial visit, which means his family paid for the trip rather than the college.

Paige is averaging 22 points, 4 assists and 4 steals for the top-ranked Lions. He is shooting 72.7 percent frm the field, 50 percent on 3-pointers and 83.3 percent at the foul line.
