Cedar Rapids Prairie senior Mitch Pritts has taken over the No.1 spot in the Class 4A state cross country rankings, compiled by the Iowa Track Coaches Association.

Pritts won the Cedar Rapids Invitational last Thursday and jumped from No.3 to No.1 in the rankings. His performance helped Prairie climb from No.11 to No.1 in the team rankings.

The Prairie Hawks have four runners in the Top 25 with Pritts at No.1, Isaiah Vlasek No.5, Jake Moore No.10 and Tyson Van Draska No.21.

The Linn-Mar Lions have three ranked runners with Tanner Rathje No.9, Daniel Murphy No.13 and Michael Mather No.14.

Shannon Gorman of Cedar Rapids Washington is ranked No.7 among Class 4A girls this week.

Linn-Mar has three members of the Top 30 with Amber Decker at No.9, Maddie Saville at No.15 and Morgan Garcia at No.28.

Kennedy has three runners in the Top 20 with Allison Culver at No.12, Lauren Meyer at No.17 and Alyssa Averhoff at No.18.
