PDF

MUSCATINE - Adam Miller tossed in six 3-pointers and scored 31 points Saturday night as Muscatine trimmed Prairie, 67-64, in overtime in a boys basketball game in Muscatine.

Prairie rallied from an eight-point deficit in the final three minutes of the fourth quarter and tied the game, 56-56, on a layup by Dylan Kuchemann with 19.3 seconds left. Kuchemann was fouled on the play, but missed the free throw that would have given the Hawks the lead.

Jalen Rima scored seven of his 13 points in overtime and gave Prairie (1-2) a 64-63 lead with a free throw with 52.1 seconds left in the extra session. Miller responded with his sixth and final 3-pointer to give the Muskies the lead for good.
