Prairie girls fall short at Bettendorf, 54-48

BETTENDORF - Bettendorf built an 11-point lead in the first quarter and held on to beat Prairie, 54-48, Saturday in a non-conference girls basketball game.

Cyerra Hutchins scored 13 points and Emilie Rotter had 10 for Prairie.

Bettendorf led 19-8 art the end of the first quarter, but Prairie trimmed the deficit to 30-25 by halftime.

The Hawks closed to within 50-48 with about a minute to play, but Bettendorf scored the final four points to close out the win.

 

PRAIRIE (48): Moenk 0 0-0 0, C.Hutchins 5 2-4 13, Rotter 3 2-2 8, Altenhofen 0 2-2 2, Usher 2 5-6 10, Freeman 1 2-2 4, S.Hutchins 0 0-0 0, Dellamuth 2 0-0 4, Machula 0 0-0 0, Stoffer 3 1-2 7. Totals 16 14-18 48.

BETTENDORF (54): Wagner 0 0-2 0, VanZuiden 2 4-5 8, Finn 6 5-6 17, Scott 4 2-2 13, Hatch 1 0-0 2, Sortillo 1 0-0 2, Glaus 2 3-6 8, Flynn 2 0-0 4. Totals 18 14-21 54.
