Two Coe volleyball players and their coach have been selected to be a part of USA D-3 Volleyball's Brazil Tour.

Mackenzie Harbaugh and Alissa Wittenburg have been chosen as members of the women's team that will be coached by DeAnn Woodin.

The USA D-3 Men's & Women's Volleyball Teams will begin their Brazil Tour 2014 in Orlando, Fla., May 17. The tour runs from May 17-26.

After team orientation and practice in Orlando, the team departs for Sao Paulo, Brazil on May 18. The USA D-3 Volleyball Team will play matches on May 19, 20 and 21 in the state of Sao Paulo against selected teams from the region.

The team travels to Rio de Janeiro for a match on May 23. The team will depart from Brazil May 25 and return to Orlando May 26.

While in Brazil, the teams will experience educational, cultural and social aspects of Brazilian life through city, school and sports club visits. While in Rio the team will be staying on the famous Copacabana Beach and touring the Christ the Redeemer Statue and Sugar Loaf, two of the most recognizable landmarks in the world.

Harbaugh, a rising junior, was selected to the team as a setter. This past fall, she was selected to the All-Iowa Conference team after helping Coe to a 33-5 overall record and a second-place finish in the IIAC.

Harbaugh had the second-highest attack percentage in single-season school history (.385), while dishing out the fifth-most assists in a season (1,177).

Wittenburg will be joining the team as the lone libero. This past season, the soon-to-be senior became Coe's career leader in digs (1,684), becoming the first Kohawk to eclipse 1,600. Her 68 aces throughout the season are the second-most in Coe history, while her 610 digs and 4.84 digs per set are the third-best marks.

Woodin just completed her eighth season at the helm of the Kohawk volleyball program. She has compiled a 162-111 (.593) overall mark, while going 36-26 (.581) in IIAC play.

Last fall, Woodin directed Coe to the most matches won in a single season (33) and the second-highest win percentage (.868) in school history. She also led Coe to its first appearance in the AVCA Top 25 poll in seven years, peaking at number 23.

Woodin is a two-time Iowa Conference Coach of the Year (2006 & 2011) and steered the Kohawks to an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2006.
