The fifth-ranked Cedar Rapids Jefferson softball team raised its record to 6-0 Saturday with a pair of victories at the Jefferson Classic.

The J-Hawks topped Des Moines North, 8-0, in their first game. Katelyn Holub went 3-for-4 and Hannah Towns was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Taylor Holub was the winning pitcher.

Jefferson trimmed Center Point-Urbana, 3-1, in its second game. Alyssa Olson collected seven strikeouts and won her third game this season. Tori Brandon and Towns were 2-for-4.
