CEDAR FALLS -- Prairie's Jessica Harris won the high jump and Katie Carver the discus to pace the Hawks to a third-place finish at the Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division girls track meet Friday night.

Harris and Xavier's Alex Bartz both jumped 5-foot, but Harris won on fewer misses.

Carver tossed the discus 126-8 to easily beat second-place Emma Edeleen of Jefferson, who had a best toss of 111-5.

Iowa City West beat Cedar Falls by one point for the team championship. The Women of Troy had 189, Cedar Falls 188. Prairie was third with 62, foollowed by Jefferson (52), Xavier (43), Dubuque Hempstead (40) and Waterloo East (8).

Jefferson won the 4x200 and sprint medley relays.  Xavier did not have any first-place finishes.
