NEW HAMPTON - The Cedar Rapids Washington boys basketball team will tumble into the holiday break with a 1-4 record after falling at New Hampton, 53-44, Monday night in a non-conference game.
The Warriors shot a woeful 3-for-23 on 3-pointers for 13 percent. They also struggled at the foul line, making only 3 of 10 for 30 percent.
Jared Printy led Washington with 14 points, but he was 1-for-10 on 3-pointers and was 6-for-17 overall from the field. Keion Wills scored 11 points for Washington and Maurice Arrington had 10 rebounds.
Tanner Rentschler scored 14 points for New Hampton (6-1).
