Daoust leads Coe with 22 points

Matt Daoust scored 22 points to lead the Coe College men’s basketball team to a 68-60 win over Loras on Saturday at Eby Fieldhouse.

Loras led 33-32 at halftime, but the Kohawks went on a 17-11 run to open the second half.

Christian Fahey had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Coe (8-5).

Justin VanWambeke had 18 points for Loras (5-8), Bobby Harmening had 12 points, and Aaron Schueller had 10 points.

LORAS (60): Harmening 4 2-2 12, Grcic 1 1-3 3, Schneider 2 0-0 4, Schueller 4 0-0 10, VanWambeke 4 7-8 18, Barry 2 0-0 6, Quinn 0 0-0 0, Smith 3 1-2 7, Criss 0 0-0 0. Totals 20 11-15 60.
