STORM LAKE - AJ Reuter had a strong outing for the Coe baseball team Tuesday in a 4-1 victory over Buena Vista in the first game of an Iowa Conference doubleheader in Storm Lake.

Buena Vista won the second game, 2-1.

Reuter (3-1) tossed a complete game in the opener. He struck out seven batters, walked one and allowed just one earned run.

Grant Henning went 3-for-4 for the Kohawks in the opener. Craig Konrardy and Jory Heckenburg had two hits. Konrardy drove in two runs.

Connor Alberhasky (3-3) was the hard-luck loser for Coe in the 2-1 loss in the nightcap. He allowed two earned runs in six innings. Konrardy had two more hits.

The split left Coe at 22-11 overall and 14-10 in the conference. Buena Vista is 20-11 overall and 10-10 in the league.
