Sixteen Metro wrestlers are ranked by The Predicament at the start of the 2010-11 campaign.

Prairie and Linn-Mar both have five wrestlers in the preseason rankings and Kennedy has four. Jefferson and Xavier have one apiece.

Prairie’s ranked wrestlers are Zach Witte (5th, 145 pounds), Peyton Wagner (5th, 160), Alex Steenblock (7th, 171), Andrew Netolicky (7th, 189) and Trey Blaha (8th, 103).

Linn-Mar’s ranked wrestlers are Joel Northrup (3rd, 112), Alijah Jefferies (4th, 103), Josh Pederson (8th, 140), Mark Atwater (9th, 189) and A.J. Garcia (9th, 215).

Kennedy’s ranked wrestlers are Ryan Rodriguez (5th, 140), Shane Williams (6th, 152), Luke Kremer (7th, 135) and Ryan Sheldon (7th, 171).

Conner Herman of Jefferson is ranked second at 215 pounds. Braxton Chicchelly of Xavier is ranked eighth at 135 pounds.

Bettendorf is ranked No.1 in Class 3A, followed by Iowa City West, Waverly-Shell Rock, Southeast Polk, Council Bluffs Lewis Central, North Scott, Mason City, Urbandale, West Des Moines Valley and Pleasant Valley.
