Kennedy once again was in the No. 5 spot Monday when the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association released its rankings.

The Cougars are fifth in Class 4A. Xavier moved up two spots to No.8 from the previous week's poll. The Cougars and Saints split a twinbill Monday night at Kennedy.

Southeast Polk stayed atop the Class 4A standings.

The top-ranked teams in the other classes are Solon, Carroll Kuemper and Martensdale-St. Marys.
