Amanda Ollinger scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds Saturday night as the Linn-Mar Lions defeated the Marion Indians, 39-30, in the final game of the Rivalry Saturday series at the U.S. Cellular Center.
Ollinger shot only 5 for 25 from the field for 20 percent, but she gave the Lions (7-3) enough offense to win the game. She was 8 for 10 at the foul line and was 1 for 7 on 3-pointers in the low-scoring affair.
Chloe Rice scored 11 points for Marion (7-4).
Both teams shot very poorly from the field. Linn-Mar was 8 for 55 for 14.5 percent and Marion was 9 for 47 for 19.1 percent.
Ollinger made five field goals for Linn-Mar and three other players had one basket apiece. The Lions scored 20 of their 39 points at the foul line.
Linn-Mar is ranked 11th in Class 5A and Marion is ranked sixth in Class 4A.
