Hobbs nets double-double for Kohawks

Aleena Hobbs collected a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds Saturday, but it was not enough to save the Coe women's basketball team in a 74-64 loss to Dubuque in an Iowa Conference game at Eby Fieldhouse.

Jenna Lehman scored 12 points for the Kohawks (11-6, 2-4) and Mickey Hansche added 11 points.

Coe struggled with its 3-point shooting, hitting only 3 of 22.

Braanna Steen led a balanced attack for Dubuque (6-11, 1-5) with 17 points. Abbey Meyer and Emily Brinker had 16 points apiece for the Spartans. Meyer grabbed 12 rebounds.

DUBUQUE (74): Brinker 5 4-4 16, Kirkwood 1 0-0 2, Steen 6 2-4 17, Meyer 5 6-10 16, Boer 2 0-0 4, Richardson 0 0-0 0, Enos 1 0-0 2, Biermeier 3 0-0 9, Bell 0 0-0 0, Burdette 2 3-3 7. Totals 25 15-21 74.
