VAN HORNE - Sarah Ernst collected 40 assists and Hannah Miller had 16 kills Thursday night as the Marion Indians defeated Benton Community, 3-1, in a Wamac Conference volleyball match.

The scores were 25-16, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Amanda Sahm contributed 13 kills and 13 digs for the Indians, ranked 10th in Class 3A. Abby Phillips had 26 digs and Ernst had 15 digs.

Miller and Jessica Thomas had three blocks.

Ernst went 19-for-19 on serves, Sahm was 13-for-13 and Heather McGuire went 12 for 12.
