Linn-Mar's Trevor Berry shot an even-par 35 for medalist honors Thursday at Jones Park, but Jefferson pulled out the team win by one shot over the Lions in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys golf meet.
Jefferson finished with 156, followed by Linn-Mar's 157. Iowa City High had 161 and Prairie 163.
Eric Lehmkuhl shot a 37 and Mitch Willems a 38 to lead Jefferson to its third meet win in the last three weeks and fourth of the season.
"Considering we are playing three kids who never saw varsity action last year, we feel very good about our regular season," Jefferson Coach Steve Koepke said. The J-Hawks were 13-1 in nine-hole meets, 28-19 in MVC competition and 42-36 overall.
Mark Drake shot a 39 for Linn-Mar. The Lions closed out the regular season with a 52-26 record.
